EXPERIENCE
With Vigilant since 2004, Derek serves as Regional Director for our Oregon office, leading and assisting the field staff.
Derek was certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) in 2006. Preparation for this certification usually takes nearly 10 years of on-the-job experience, but Derek was certified after less than three years with Vigilant. This accomplishment is no surprise, given Derek's commitment, focus, and general smarts. But it's also a testament to Vigilant's practical and broad service offerings, which helped Derek dive into the wide world of employee relations, strategic management, workforce planning, and risk management with confidence. In addition to his management duties, Derek also serves as a trustee for two Taft-Hartley pension trusts and the Bledsoe Health Trust and is always willing to step in where or when he's needed.
